Exciting Achievement: CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729 Leads the Way to District Excellence!

Dear Brothers in the CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729,

I am thrilled to share some outstanding news shared with me from our Faithful Navigator, Jerry Ferrara, which underscores the dedication and hard work of our assembly. As of July 25, 2025, our Supreme Master, Michael R. McCusker, has officially recognized the top-ranking districts. I am excited to announce that our Assembly is NUMBER ONE IN NY.

Among the elite group of districts honored worldwide, our very own assembly stands out as number one in New York State! These accomplishments place us alongside other top-performing districts across the country and around the globe. This global spotlight highlights the strength of our assembly and the unwavering efforts of our Faithful Navigator, Jerry Ferrara in leading us to this milestone.

As members of the CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729, we couldn't be prouder. Our assembly has been instrumental in driving this success, contributing significantly to the district's goals through our recruitment drives, exemplifications, and community outreach. Without our collective effort, passion, and fraternal spirit, our district would never have achieved this remarkable milestone. We are number one in New York State because of the hard work of our Assembly and its members!

Let's keep up the good work, brothers. By maintaining this momentum, we will stay number one and continue to inspire others in the Knights of Columbus.

If you haven't already, consider how you can get involved in upcoming events, like our Vets Out of the Rough Charity Golf Outing on September 23, or reach out to our Fourth Degree Liaison for membership opportunities.

Vivat Jesus!

Member and Council Spotlight: Shining a Light on Our CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729 Heroes

Dear Brother Sir Knights,

As the newly elected Faithful Pilot of CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729 in the 1st New York District, I am excited to introduce a new initiative: the Member and Council Spotlight series. This feature will celebrate the outstanding contributions, achievements, and patriotic service of our fellow 4th Degree members and the councils within our CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729. Our Assembly, comprised of dedicated Sir Knights from various councils across Suffolk County, has a rich history of promoting Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism through activities like honor guards, community outreach, veterans' support, and ceremonial events.

Whether it's a member who has gone above and beyond in organizing events such as our annual participation in Pearl Harbor Day ceremonies at Calverton National Cemetery, leading bingo nights at local veterans' homes, or spearheading community programs, we want to highlight these stories to inspire greater involvement and recognition. Recent examples of our Assembly's noteworthy work include the launch of our brand-new Facebook page to enhance communication and engagement, as well as ongoing collaborations with local councils for charitable initiatives.

If you know a member or council within our CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729 that is involved in something noteworthy—be it acts of service, leadership in patriotic events, or contributions to our faith-based mission—we want to spotlight them! Submissions must focus on members or councils from CDR. John J. Shea Assembly 729 to keep the focus on our local brotherhood.

To nominate someone or share a story, please reach out to us on Facebook. Let's work together to get more 4th Degree members and councils involved and showcase the incredible impact we're making in our communities.

Vivat Jesus!
